Tenet Healthcare Joins Takeover for Healthscope, Australian Says

Tenet Healthcare Corp. has joined the takeover battle for Healthscope Ltd., offering A$5.80 a share for Australia’s second-biggest hospital owner, the Australian newspaper reported, without saying where it got the information. Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. and CVC Asia Pacific Ltd. have also made a separate A$5.80 a share offer, the newspaper said. This compares with a bid of A$5.75 a share from a group including Blackstone, TPG Capital and Carlyle Group, according to the Australian.
