At a time of existential crisis on Wall Street, bankers who worked at Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette before its 2000 takeover by Credit Suisse (CS) will reunite at Manhattan's Cipriani restaurant on May 20. Many have gone to positions of prominence but miss the old days. "It really did have its cult aspects," says Tony James, now president of Blackstone Group (BX) and former chairman of DLJ's banking group. "People loved working there."
