Geithner Predicts Republican Support for Overhaul

Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner said he is “very confident” the Obama administration will get enough Republican support in Congress for an overhaul of financial-industry regulations.
“I think we will see Republicans and Democrats come together and pass strong reforms,” Geithner said on NBC’s “Meet the Press” program. “I’m very confident you’ll see Republicans vote for this.”
