Priceline.com Profit, Forecast Beat Analyst Estimates

Priceline.com Inc., the online travel agency, forecast first-quarter profit that beat analysts’ estimates, signaling consumers may be booking more flights and hotel rooms amid an economic recovery.

Profit will be $1.54 to $1.64 a share, excluding some expenses, the company said in a statement today. Analysts in a Bloomberg survey projected $1.40 on average. Fourth-quarter earnings also exceeded estimates.
