Juniper, Polycom to Sell Videoconference System for Any Network

Juniper Networks Inc. and Polycom Inc. will sell jointly developed products for phone companies to send high-definition videoconferences to any office or desktop, without customers needing a dedicated network for the task.
Juniper, the No. 2 maker of networking gear, and Polycom, the biggest maker of videoconferencing equipment, spent a year designing software that will let existing Polycom products run on commonly shared networks built by Juniper, Scott Stevens, Juniper’s vice president of technology, said today in an interview.
