Telmex Internacional Profit Doubles on Brazil Revenue

Telmex Internacional SAB, the Latin American phone and cable-TV company controlled by billionaire Carlos Slim, said third-quarter profit more than doubled as Brazilians signed up for Internet and TV service.

Net income increased to 2.79 billion pesos ($210 million), or 15 centavos a share, from 1.16 billion pesos, or 6 centavos, a year earlier, Mexico City-based Telmex Internacional said yesterday in a statement. Sales rose 25 percent to 24.4 billion pesos.
