Andy Roddick may need more than his one major victory and a historically close loss to Roger Federer at Wimbledon to be assured of a lifelong income from tennis.

Since winning the 2003 U.S. Open and being hailed as a potential American tennis superstar like Andre Agassi and Jimmy Connors, he’s been left in the wake of Federer and the Swiss’s record 15 Grand Slam titles. Roddick has made four finals of the 22 majors he’s entered since his lone major title, losing to Federer each time.
