Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. said it settled a patent-infringement lawsuit brought by Johnson & Johnson’s Ortho-McNeil-Janssen unit over Teva’s generic version of the Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo birth-control pill.

Teva, the world’s largest generic-drug maker, will pay an undisclosed royalty for past sales of the copy under the settlement filed in federal court in New Jersey, the Petah Tikva, Israel-based company said in a statement.
