Crusader Energy, Oil Developer, Files for Bankruptcy

Crusader Energy Group Inc., an oil and natural gas explorer and developer, sought bankruptcy protection from creditors, saying it may sell the company as part of its restructuring.

The company, based in Oklahoma City, listed assets of about $750 million and debt of $325.8 million as of Sept. 30 in Chapter 11 documents filed today in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Dallas. Seven affiliates also sought court protection.
