Moelis Adds Hootnick to Expand Restructuring Group

Moelis & Co., the investment banking boutique founded by former UBS AG executive Kenneth Moelis, hired Broadpoint Securities’ Mark Hootnick as managing director in its recapitalization and restructuring group.

Hootnick, 38, who was previously managing director for boutique investment bank Greenhill & Co., has 14 years of restructuring experience, Moelis said today in a Business Wire statement. He will be based in New York and report to Bill Derrough and Thane Carlston, co-heads of recapitalization and restructuring.
