Shanda Rises to Record on Bets AION Game May Bolster Earnings

Shanda Interactive Entertainment Ltd., China’s biggest online-games provider, rose to the highest ever in New York trading on speculation the AION Internet game will bolster earnings.

Shanda’s American depositary receipts gained 5.8 percent to $45.07 at 4 p.m. in Nasdaq stock market trading. The shares have jumped 57 percent over the past year, compared with a 32 percent drop for the Nasdaq.
