Entertainment One Drops DHX Purchase on Stock Decline

Entertainment One Ltd., the U.K. distributor of “Will & Grace” and “The Grudge” DVDs, dropped plans to buy DHX Media Ltd. after the Canadian filmmaker wouldn’t agree to revise terms following the stock’s plunge.
“Senior lenders to the company indicated that consent for the proposed transaction would not be attainable under the original terms and timetable,” Jersey, Channel Islands-based Entertainment One said in a statement distributed by the Regulatory News Service today.
