Kinder Morgan Energy Partners LP extinguished a fire that shut its Pasadena oil terminal near Houston and caused at least one pipeline company to cut capacity to the western U.S.
The terminal may take 24 to 48 hours to resume operations, said Emily Thompson, a Kinder Morgan spokeswoman, in a telephone interview. The Pasadena terminal connects about 35 pipeline systems, linking them with at least six Gulf Coast refineries.
