Mark Cavendish won the Tour de France's fifth stage today as Stefan Schumacher ensured he'll wear the race-leading yellow jersey for a second day.
Cavendish, a 23-year-old Briton, ended a 221-kilometer (137-mile) breakaway ride by France's Nicolas Vogondy with about 50 meters left to win the longest leg of the race, between Cholet and Chateauroux.
