Wal-Mart de Mexico SAB, Mexico's largest retailer, may say earnings growth accelerated in the second quarter because of increased sales of groceries as consumers sought out bargains.
Walmex, as the company is known, may say that profit rose 13 percent to 3.3 billion pesos ($320 million), according to the average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Bloomberg. Second-quarter sales climbed 16 percent to 58.8 billion pesos, analysts estimated. Walmex reports second-quarter results July 9.
