Russia gained 40 billionaires last year for a total of 101, led by Oleg Deripaska, whose $40 billion fortune ranks among the world's biggest, Finans magazine said.
Deripaska, the 40-year-old founder of United Co. Rusal, the world's biggest aluminum company by capacity, extended his lead over former partner Roman Abramovich as surging metals prices and investments in construction and car manufacturing boosted his wealth 89 percent, the Moscow-based weekly said today.
