Hasbro Profit Climbs on Transformers; New Chief Named

Hasbro Inc., the world's second-largest toymaker, posted fourth-quarter profit that exceeded analysts' estimates on higher sales of Transformers action figures and purchases by consumers overseas.

Chief Executive Officer Alfred Verrecchia, a 43-year Hasbro veteran, will step down in May and be replaced by operating chief Brian Goldner, the company also said today.
