Research In Motion Sued Over Patent for E-Mail

Research In Motion Ltd., maker of the BlackBerry e-mail device, was sued by a Maryland company accusing it of infringing a patent for a way to access multiple e-mail accounts on the same unit.
TeleCommunication Systems Inc. of Annapolis filed the complaint in federal court in Virginia ``after business discussions with RIM failed to resolve the dispute,'' the company said in a statement.
