Activision Inc. (ATVI US) jumped $3.97, or 18 percent, to $26.12, the highest since October 1993. Vivendi SA (VIVEF US) agreed to buy a controlling stake in the maker of the ``Guitar Hero'' music simulator for $9.8 billion to create the world's largest maker of video games.
