T-Mobile Czech Unit 1st-Quarter Net Rises 48% to CZK1.8 Billion

T-Mobile International AG's Czech unit, the largest mobile phone provider by the number of customers in the nation, said first-quarter profit rose 48 percent to 1.8 billion koruna ($86 million).
Revenue rose 8 percent to 7.4 billion koruna from the year-earlier quarter, the Prague-based company said in an e-mailed statement today. The unit's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization rose 16 percent to 3.6 billion koruna in the quarter.
