UBS AG named Tom Fox and Matthew Koder joint global heads of its equity-capital markets division, replacing Lucinda Riches, who steps down after helping build the bank into the third-biggest underwriter of stock sales.

New York-based Fox, joint head of U.S. equity capital markets, and Hong Kong-based Koder, head of the unit in Asia, joined Europe's biggest bank in 2003, UBS said today in an e-mailed statement. Riches, 44, who is based in London, took sole control of the division in February, when James Garvin went on sabbatical after they had co-managed the unit for seven years.
