Pandora Seeks to Tap ‘Hopeless’ Male Shoppers With Web Expansion

Pandora A/S Chief Executive Officer Allan Leighton says expansion of the jeweler’s online business will help it capitalize on a common male failing: gift buying.
The Danish charm-bracelet maker has seen an increase in male customers since it introduced Web shopping in the U.K. two years ago, Leighton said today by phone after Pandora raised its full-year sales forecast. While the proportion of men is typically 35 percent to 40 percent of total purchases, it can be as much as 70 percent online in gift-buying season, he said.
