Air Berlin Lures Ex-Lufthansa Manager Pichler From Fiji as Chief

Air Berlin Plc appointed former Deutsche Lufthansa AG manager Stefan Pichler as its new chief executive officer, succeeding Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, who returns to a planning role.
Pichler joins from Fiji Airways, where he became CEO in September 2013. The 57-year-old German previously ran Jazeera Airways KSC in Kuwait and tour operator Thomas Cook AG, and held various senior roles at low-cost carrier Virgin Australia.
