Under Armour Signs Model Gisele in Push to Entice Women

Under Armour Inc., the athletic-apparel company that got its start catering to football players, hired supermodel Gisele Bundchen to promote its products, aiming to appeal more to women.

The Baltimore-based company signed Bundchen to a multiyear deal as the latest addition to its list of female endorsers, said Diane Pelkey, a spokeswoman for Under Armour. The company announced the partnership by releasing a YouTube clip today of Bundchen stretching in Under Armour workout gear. More videos will debut on Sept. 4, Pelkey said.
