Taiwan’s 10-year government bond yields were near a record low on speculation the central bank will cut interest rates to aid exporters. The local dollar gained for a second day.

Official data due July 20 may show Taiwan’s export orders dropped 2.75 percent in June from a year earlier, a fourth monthly decline, according to the median estimate of economists in a Bloomberg survey. The overnight interbank lending rate fell six basis points in the past three days after the Bank of Korea unexpectedly reduced borrowing costs on July 12.
