South African Coal Export Prices Decline for Sixth Straight Week

Coal export prices at South Africa’s Richards Bay, the continent’s biggest terminal for shipping the fuel, fell for a sixth straight week, the longest losing streak in a year.
Prices decreased $3.58, or 3.4 percent, last week to an average $102.30 a metric ton, following a 0.4 percent decline in the week ended Nov. 18, according to data on Bloomberg from researcher IHS McCloskey. The price quoted is on a free-on-board basis, excluding delivery costs.
