U.S. Gulf Oil Premiums Strengthen as Brent-WTI Spread Widens

U.S. Gulf crude premiums surged after U.S. benchmark West Texas Intermediate’s discount to Brent widened for a second day.
The gap between WTI and Brent October contracts increased $1.77 to $25.26 a barrel at 12:14 p.m. in New York. The spread settled Sept. 7 at a record margin of $26.46.
