OAO Polyus Gold, Russia’s largest producer of the metal, intends to triple output by the end of the decade as soaring prices fuel expansion plans.

Polyus is targeting production of 115 metric tons of gold in 2016 and more than 137 tons in 2020, the Moscow-based company said today in a statement, citing a development strategy approved by its board yesterday. Output totaled 43 tons last year, company filings show.
