CFTC Sues 14 Firms for Unregistered Foreign Currency Trading

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission said it filed 13 enforcement actions alleging that 14 companies are illegally soliciting public investors to trade foreign currency.

The regulatory agency said actions filed in Federal District Courts in Chicago, the District of Columbia, Kansas City and New York were the first it has taken to enforce foreign exchange regulations that became effective in October.
