JPMorgan Chase and Co. may boost its dividend next year and rise as much as 45 percent during the next two years on the strength of its senior management team and acquisitions made during the economic downturn, Barron’s reported, citing analysts.

Chief Executive Officer Jamie Dimon said the bank may generate enough excess capital to increase its annual dividend even as banks have fallen from favor with investors because of a weak economy, ultra-low rates and regulatory changes, the weekly newspaper reported in its Oct. 4 edition, citing the executive. Analysts expect an annual dividend increase to as much as $1 a share, Barron’s said.
