Germany’s Bundesbank said Thilo Sarrazin has agreed to resign at the end of the month, it said in an e-mailed statement.

“The board of the Bundesbank and board member Thilo Sarrazin are aware of their responsibility about the institution of the German Bundesbank,” the bank said. “Against the background of the public discussion the parties involved will end their working relationship at the end of this month,” by mutual agreement, the bank said.
