Hyundai introduced the Ioniq nameplate in 2016 with a vanilla hatchback. The Ioniq 5 reboots it as a compact SUV with greater range (up to 299 miles), faster charging (from 10%-80% in 18 minutes) and a higher price tag (starting at £43,445). It’s built on a modular platform that the Korean automaker plans to use for more EV models to come.
