Confidence rating:

The majority of Tahir's fortune is derived from his stake in Sejahteraraya Anugrahjaya, which is also known as Mayapada Hospital. The company has seven locations across Indonesia and operates more than 860 beds, according to its 2024 annual report.

He owns 62% of Mayapada Hospital directly, with two children and through vehicles Surya Cipta and Wing Harvest, according to a September 2025 filing. He also owns 71% of Bank Mayapada, 86% of Maha Properti Indonesia and 12% of Sona Topas Tourism Industry, according to the companies' shareholder reports as of August 2025. These are units under Tahir's Mayapada Group. The stakes held by his children are credited to Tahir to reflect his status as the group's founder.

Tahir also owns 89% of Singapore-listed property investment company MYP, according to its 2024 annual report. He owns 20% of Sompo Insurance Indonesia and 16% of Zurich Topas Life. These two insurance companies are valued using reported financial results and the average price-to-book value multiple of four publicly traded peers: Sinar Mas Multiartha Tbk PT, Capital Financial Indonesia Tbk PT, MSIG Life Insurance Indonesia Tbk PT and Panin Financial Tbk PT.

Other businesses under the Mayapada Group are not valued in this analysis as their ownership and financials are unknown. A liability is included based on an analysis of dividend, stock transactions, taxes and market performance.

Lucia Astrini, a spokesperson for Mayapada Hospital, didn't respond to a request for comment on the net worth calculation.
