Starmer’s Resignation ‘Inevitable’: Pollster Joe Twyman

Joe Twyman, co-founder of the public opinion consultancy Deltapoll says UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer's resignation seems inevitable "at some time because the weight of inertia is simply so strong and the performance in the council elections was so difficult". Labour suffered a sweeping defeat in local elections on Thursday. Twyman says the results set out "in black and white" how difficult the situation is for the ruling Labour Party. Twyman says none of the front runners to replace Starmer "really resonate with the average person on the street", and this represents a risk for Labour. Twyman spoke with Lizzy Burden on Bloomberg Daybreak Europe.
