Trump Hails Ceasefire, Says US in ‘Heated’ Talks
President Trump has announced a two-week, two-sided cease-fire with Iran, suspending earlier threats to strike Iranian civilian infrastructure. The truce is explicitly conditional on Tehran reopening the Strait of Hormuz, a key waterway whose closure amid a war that began over five weeks ago has disrupted global markets.
