South African Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana discusses trade negotiations with the US and the impact of President Donald Trump's false claims that White Afrikaner farmers are being subjected to a genocide. "There's absolutely no basis for that," Godongwana said Nov. 18 during an interview with Bloomberg's Jennifer Zabasajja in Johannesburg. "No one wants to be on the wrong side. And to that extent, it influences the attitude of the investor community to start trusting South Africa."
