Fed’s Williams Says Bank Reserves Nearing Desired Level

President John Williams said gradual purchases of assets by the Fed would be a “natural next stage” as he views bank reserves in the US as close to reaching the level desired by the central bank. Williams spoke Wednesday at the 2025 US Treasury Market Conference.
