Speaker Johnson on ‘Shameful’ Shutdown, Possible Layoffs
US House Speaker Mike Johnson, a Louisiana Republican, says Democrats need to "come to their senses and do the right thing" to end the federal government shutdown. Speaking with Joe Mathieu on "Balance of Power," Speaker Johnson also discusses the health-care subsidies fight and the White House Budget Office proposal to withhold back pay to federal workers furloughed during the shutdown.
