ECB Cuts Rates to 2%, Lowers 2026 Inflation Forecast
The European Central Bank lowered interest rates again on Thursday, with the deposit rate cut by a quarter-point to 2%. The decision comes as inflation dipped beneath 2% and the economy suffered repeated blows from US tariffs. New quarterly projections from the ECB showed inflation below the target in 2026, at 1.6%.
