OECD Slashes Global Forecasts Amid Trade Uncertainty
OECD Chief Economist Alvaro Santos Pereira discusses the Paris-based organization's decision to slash its global economic growth forecast to 2.9% this year, down from 3.3% in 2024. "There's been a huge increase in trade and economic policy uncertainty," he tells Bloomberg Television. "This is having an impact on consumer confidence, on investors' confidence, and also on activity indicators."
