The US Justice Department ordered Manhattan prosecutors to drop their corruption case against New York City Mayor Eric Adams saying it was politically motivated. Adams had pleaded not guilty to charges of accepting illegal campaign donations and taking luxury travel upgrades in exchange for pressuring city officials to let a new Turkish consulate office tower open. City Comptroller Brad Lander, who plans to challenge Adams in the June Democratic primary, says it's time for Adams to resign.
