BOE May Need to Calm Markets Amid Gilts Selloff: TD Bank
Pooja Kumra, senior UK and European rates strategist at Toronto Dominion Bank, discusses the selloff in UK bonds as markets priced in the new Labour government’s willingness to run up borrowing and risk faster inflation. "If we do not see next week's BOE meeting trying to calm the market, you could see more non-domestic selling coming," Kumra says on Bloomberg Television. "And I think that's when it won't be just the front end, it would be across the curve."
