Renault CEO: Europe’s EV Market Needs China Cooperation
Renault CEO Luca de Meo says ramping up electrification in Europe will be more difficult if policymakers fail to reach agreements involving raw materials and batteries. "We need to find a deal with China,” de Meo told Bloomberg's Oliver Crook at the Paris Motor Show. The EU voted on Oct. 4 to boost tariffs on electric vehicles from China to as high as 45%.
