Boeing's Largest Union Rejects Contract Offer, Votes to Strike

Members of Boeing's largest union rejected a contract offer by the planemaker and voted to strike late Thursday. “It's been a long time coming,” Jon Holden, president of IAM District 751, said to media. The walkout, from midnight Friday Seattle time, is the first since 2008 by the district of the International Association of Machinists And Aerospace Workers representing 33,000 Boeing employees across the US West Coast.
