Manfred Weber, President of the European People's Party, says he is "confident" Ursula von der Leyen will gain enough support to be confirmed by the European Parliament for a second term as European Commission President. Weber spoke with Bloomberg's Max Ramsay at the European Parliament in Brussels, and also discussed the emergence of new far-right group the Patriots for Europe, Hungarian prime minister Viktor Orban's visit to Moscow and the impact of the US political situation on the EU.
