China Solar Firm GCL Eyes Saudi Arabia for First Foreign Factory
Chinese solar manufacturer GCL Technology Holdings Ltd is in advanced talks with Saudi Arabia about opening its first foreign factory in the Middle Eastern kingdom that’s long been one of China’s top oil suppliers. GCL is looking for the plant to produce 120,000 tons of material a year, and starting operations as early as 2025. The companies joint CEO Lan Tianshi spoke with David Ingles.
