Summers Says Fed Should Maintain 'Maximum Flexibility' on Rates

Former Treasury Secretary Lawrence Summers says the Federal Reserve can't take the possibility of interest-rate hikes off the table despite signs of "substantial" financial easing. "My advice to the Fed, which I think is consistent with the path they're on, is to maintain maximum flexibility in an economy where things could go either way," he says on Bloomberg Television’s “Wall Street Week” with David Westin.
