BOE Gilts Buy a 'Quantitative Conundrum,' Says Franklin's Dudley
Franklin Mutual Series Portfolio Manager and Research Analyst Katrina Dudley says the Bank of England's purchase of long-dated UK government bonds is a "quantitative conundrum," contributing to confusion over the central bank's policy. "I understand it's only temporary but I'm not sure that BOE is doing the right thing -- we don't really know what they're trying to do here," Dudley says on "Bloomberg Surveillance."
