LME CEO: Suspending Nickel Trading Was Right Decision

LME CEO Matthew Chamberlain says suspending nickel trading and canceling the trades on the London Metal Exchange was the right decision for the sake of market stability. Nickel prices shot up as much as 250% in two days on the LME at the start of this week. The unprecedented rally prompted the 145-year-old exchange to suspend nickel trading Tuesday.
