Susan Brownell, an internationally recognized expert on Chinese sports and Professor of Anthropology at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, discusses the importance of Beijing Winter Olympics to China. Susan was a member of an academic advisory council for the I.O.C. and also participated in the 1980 and 1984 U.S. Olympic Trials in track-and-field.
